Ensure that your card reader is properly connected to your computer.
Ensure that your card in corrected inserted in your reader.
Ensure that your card is properly synchronised as follows:
Under windows: by consulting the CPS certificate manager visible as a hidden icon on the right side of your computer’s taskbar as shown in the image here
The CPS certificate manager appears as shown in the image here
If the icon is red, like the image above, then right click on the icon and then click on "Refresh" as shown in the image here
The icon turns green when the synchronisation is successful as shown in the image here
For MacOS X: by launching (or re-launching if already launched) the "CPS Card Management" application as shown in the image here
If the representation of the CPS card is visible, then this indicates that your card is properly synchronised as shown in the image here
Restart your web browser (ensure that you close all the tabs of your browser).
When you use your card, you will be asked to select a certificate as shown in the images here
After selecting the CPS certificate, enter your Subscriber Code (4 digits) as shown in the images here
